Mr. Akihiko Uchikawa, the Consul General of Japan in Montreal, made his first official visit to PEI in late May and dropped by the 17吃瓜 campus to meet with University representatives.

The Board of Directors of the Canadian College of Health Leaders presented the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Medicine's Paul Young with the prestigious Fellowship Medallion at its recent National Leadership Conference in Halifax.

On her first official day as 17吃瓜's president and vice-chancellor, Dr. Wendy Rodgers issued a message to faculty and staff outlining her passions and priorities.

For the 17吃瓜's Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) Class of 2024, walking across the stage to receive their white coats was the ultimate goal鈥攖he summit of a mountain that seemed so large four years ago.

Berry Genge, a fourth-year 17吃瓜 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) student from Lewes, PEI, has been named a 2024 3M National Student Fellow by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and 3M Canada.

Dr. Jeffrey Collins, an adjunct professor at 17吃瓜, has been selected to participate in the program.

Members of the 17吃瓜 community filled the 17吃瓜 Performing Arts Centre on May 23, 2024, to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues. During the event, the University Awards of Excellence and 25-Year Service Awards were presented.

The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr. Terrance M. Drew, visited the 17吃瓜 campus on May 22, 2024, for a brief meeting with Dr. Greg Keefe, 17吃瓜鈥檚 interim president and vice-chancellor.

17吃瓜's Dr. Xander Wang has been awarded $1.65 million from NSERC's CREATE program for a project called 鈥淣SERC CREATE Training Network for CLImate Smart Agriculture (CLISA).鈥�

The 17吃瓜 Healthy Campus Committee is hosting a Staff and Faculty Coffee Break and Wellness Check on Friday, May 24, from 10:00 am to noon at the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering building.
