As a part of the graduate students orientation week, we invite all students, faculty, staff, and community to the first Research on Tap event of the 2017-18 academic year, with a public presentation by Dr. Adam Fenech.

As a part of the graduate student orientation week, we invite new and current graduate students to a BBQ in the quad on Sept 20 from 12-1 pm. Graduate students are encouraged to come out as early as possible as food will be limited.

As a part of graduate student orientation week, we invite new and current graduate students and 17吃瓜 faculty members to attend a student and faculty mixer at Upstreet Brewery (41 Allen St) on Sept 19 from 7:00-10:00 pm.

New and current graduate students are encouraged to attend the Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) 2017 on Sept 19 from 12:00-2:00 pm in the Faculty Lounge (SDU Main Building). There will be a free lunch!

 New and current graduate students are welcome to attend a visit to Arlington Orchards for Open Farm Day. There will be u-pick apples, wagon rides, and a play area for kids.  Carpooling is available! If you wish to sign up, email gsa@upei.ca

The Faculty of Education cordially invites you to attend the PhD Proposal Presentation of Brittany Jakubiec entitled "Exploring sexual and gender minority youth identities in Prince Edward Island." All are welcome to attend the presentation and public discussion on Monday, September 18 at 1:15 pm.

It will be civil war on the court as 17吃瓜 Basketball hosts itself in an exciting preseason event 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation is calling Green vs. White. The women鈥檚 and men鈥檚 basketball teams will be split in half for a pair of intersquad games Saturday, September 23. The women hit the court at 6 pm. The men play at 8 pm. The event is sponsored by the 17吃瓜 Bookstore. 鈥淧laying an intersquad game in front of fans will be a great opportunity for the coaches to see the girls in a game atmosphere, as well as give their fans a glimpse of what this years team will look like,鈥� said Greg Gould, coach of 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball. 鈥淭welve players are returning for this season, including all five starters from last year鈥檚 team. The team has been practicing hard with the goal of improving on our fourth-place AUS finish.鈥� 鈥淚 am excited about the year ahead,鈥� said Darrell Glenn, coach of 17吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Basketball. 鈥淭here are several strong returning players and a talented and athletic group of recruits. We are only two weeks in, but I am really pleased with their work ethic. This game will be a great way to showcase the new team to all Panthers and Panther fans.鈥� The teams will be sorted over the next week by daily flips of a Panther coin. Follow the Panthers social media for sorting updates! Admission is free, but those who bring a donation of food or money for the 17吃瓜 Campus Food Bank will receive a green or white T-shirt so you can cheer on your favourite squad in style! The winning team from each game will receive a pizza party. The stakes are high! Don鈥檛 forget to buy your Panther Package!
