An online workshop where 17³Ô¹Ï students & alumni can get practical advice on how to write resumes and cover letters to help them get the job.
This workshop covers the following objectives and will provide students with practical tools and tips to improve their skills:
17³Ô¹Ï creates new biotechnology minor and courses
Starting in January 2022, science students at 17³Ô¹Ï can register for a new 21-credit minor in biotechnology and two new associated , BIOT 1020: Field Studies in Biotechnology on PEI and BIOT 2020: Case Studies in Biotechnology.
Dr. John VanLeeuwen named Interim Dean of the Atlantic Veterinary College

Atlantic University Sport pauses 2021–22 competition schedule
In a news release issued December 22, 2021, Atlantic University Sport (AUS) announced it will pause all university sport competitions until at least January 19, 2022. This decision was made in accordance with the recent public health restrictions set by each of the Atlantic provinces. The 17³Ô¹Ï is a member of the AUS, which is one of four conferences in U SPORTS, the national governing body for university sport in Canada.
Panthers add speedy back in Lauren Bull
17³Ô¹Ï’s women’s rugby program jumped on the scene in 2021 and turned itself into a destination that game-changing prospects are seriously considering joining.
Lauren Bull, of Okotoks, Alberta, is the first recruit to join the 17³Ô¹Ï team since their memorable season this fall when they finished the year 3–3 for the first time since 2011.The team defeated the St. FX X-Women for the first time in 17 years and earned their first national ranking.
Island Lecture Series: Art and Climate Change Adaptation
In the first installment of the 2022 Island Lecture series, Ilse van Dijk will present the findings of the research she conducted as a research intern with Island Studies at 17³Ô¹Ï. In her research project, Ilse aimed to identify possibilities for the integration of artistic processes into climate change adaptation policies on Prince Edward Island.
