What brought you to 17³Ô¹Ï? Why did you choose to study here?
I am a proud 17³Ô¹Ï alumnus, having completed my degree in Foods and Nutrition and my Dietetic Internship here. Currently, I work at 17³Ô¹Ï as the Professional Practice Coordinator for the Dietetic Internship Program, so returning for my graduate studies felt like a natural choice. 17³Ô¹Ï has always been a supportive and collaborative academic environment, and I was eager to be part of this community again.
17³Ô¹Ï Department of Religious Studies presents free concert featuring songs from Godspell
The 17³Ô¹Ï Department of Religious Studies and the 8th Avenue Players will present a free concert celebrating the 17³Ô¹Ï Class of 2025 on Monday, May 12, from 8 to 9 pm, in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, Steel Building. The 8th Avenue Players, a choir of talented professional singers, including 17³Ô¹Ï students, will perform songs from "Godspell, the Musical."
All are welcome to attend this free concert.

17³Ô¹Ï Co-operative Education program announces award winners for 2024
Each year, the 17³Ô¹Ï Co-operative Education Program recognizes its exceptional students and employers with the 17³Ô¹Ï Co-op Awards. The winners of the 2024 awards were Rosie Legault, 17³Ô¹Ï Science Co-op Student of the Year; Carol Edzeame, 17³Ô¹Ï Arts Co-op Student of the Year; Diya Bubna, 17³Ô¹Ï Business Co-op Student of the Year; and MRSB Group, Co-op Employer of the Year.
17³Ô¹Ï Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering holds annual Student Design Expo
The 17³Ô¹Ï Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) showcased a wide range of innovative design projects in sustainable design engineering by its students at the annual Student Design Expo on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Community of Practice for Graduate Supervision
All graduate faculty are invited to join members of the Community of Practice for Graduate Student Mentorship on Friday May 9 at 12:00 noon in the TLC for the Rock Solid Supervision: Building Foundations for Student Success. This annual graduate supervision conference brings together the graduate education community to share insights and explore best practices in graduate supervision. Come and learn from leading experts, connect with peers from across the country, and find solutions to address today’s challenges in graduate education.
Convocation Rehearsal
Convocation Rehearsal will be held on Monday May 12, beginning at 12:00 pm in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.
Rehearsal attendance is highly recommended to ensure that the Convocation ceremonies proceed properly. At the rehearsal there will be a demonstration on "how to wear" academic dress. The rehearsal is approximately 45-60 minutes.
Mass for Graduates
The Class of 2025, family and friends, are invited to celebrate the Mass for Graduates at the 17³Ô¹Ï Chaplaincy Centre on Wednesday, May 14 at 4:30 pm. AVC alum awarded 2024 Atlantic Award of Excellence
Dr. Rhonda Hamilton, a graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï), is the winner of the College’s 2024 Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.
Reminder: Red Dress Day is May 5
Red Dress Day is a National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Gender Diverse Peoples (MMIWG2S) that takes place on May 5. It is a day to remember, to learn, and to take action.
No one knows exactly how many Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people have gone missing or have been murdered in Canada, but some estimates indicate the number is more than 4,000 since 1980. It may be much higher.
