Alaere Peterside and Jakob Robillard named 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 27 to February 2, 2025, are Alaere Peterside (women鈥檚 track and field) and Jakob Robillard (men鈥檚 hockey).
Book launch: The Belfast Riot of 1847
Dr. Callum Beck's new book, The Belfast Riot of 1847, will be launched on March 5, 2025, at 7 pm, in the Faculty Lounge (Room 201), SDU Main Building Room 201, 17吃瓜.

Applications open for Food Ecosystem Tour
The Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship is pleased to present a Food Ecosystem Tour, in partnership with BioFoodTech, Food Island Partnership, and Canada's Smartest Kitchen. Twenty 17吃瓜 students will get the chance to attend a full day where they will tour the facilities of BioFoodTech and Canada's Smartest Kitchen and learn about the resources and support available to entrepreneurs in the food product development sector!
Raising of Pan-African flag to mark Black History Month
Every year in February, we celebrate Black History Month. Members of the campus community are invited to join the 17吃瓜 Student Union, the Black Cultural Society, and the African Student Association at the raising of the Pan-African flag at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building at 11:30 am. All are welcome!

Business Plan Basics workshop for Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program
The Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship is hosting a workshop focused on teaching the basics about creating a business plan on Thursday, February 11, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Participants will learn about the major components of a business plan and what sort of information should be included in the document. Attendees participating in the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program will also receive suggestions, tips, and tricks for how to make the most of their business plan for their written award submissions.
