The Office of Student Culture and Community Standards is calling all Panthers, including students, staff, and faculty members, to join us on Friday, March 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at The Fox & Crow to celebrate the 17勛圖 Women's Basketball team's success and the 17勛圖 Men's Basketball team's monumental and record-breaking victory at the Atlantic University Sports (AUS) Championship.

Mark your calendar to join colleagues to discuss How Humans Learn: The Science and Stories behind Effective College Teaching on Friday March 21, at 2:30 at the Fox and Crow. Teaching is challenging. One way to make it easier is to know more about the ways students learn. This book lets us take a look behind the curtain, bringing together research from many fields with insights into the science behind learning.

Deborah Aboagye and Kamari Scott named 17勛圖 Source for Sports Panther Athletes of the Week

Every week, 17勛圖 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17勛圖 Source for Sports Panther Athletes of the Week for February 24 to March 2, 2025, are Deborah Aboagye (womens basketball) and Kamari Scott (mens basketball).

Coffee Chats with the President

Join 17勛圖 President Wendy Rodgers for casual  coffee chats at Tim Horton's in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre, beginning this Friday, March 7 from 8:15-9:15 am.

These coffee chats offer a relaxed setting where any member of the 17勛圖 community can drop by, grab a drink, and chat with Wendy about anything on your mind. Whether you want to share ideas, ask questions, or simply say hello, these chats are a great way to connect with the president in a comfortable and informal environment.

17勛圖 Wind Symphony: Exploration

The 17勛圖 Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dale Sorensen, will present a concert of music on the theme of exploration of nature, space, sound, and self. The program will include an arrangement of Bedrich Smetanas Vltava (The Moldau), a symphonic poem depicting Bohemias great Vltava river, alongside evocative works by Julie Giroux (Mystery on Mena Mountain), Judith Zaimont (City Rain), and Canadian composer Nova Pon (Tilting Sunward). Of special note will be the performance of Rescue by PEI-born composer E.K.R.

Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Junior Vet Camp Week 1, July 7-11

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) is pleased to welcome participants to our award-winning Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camps, taking place July 7 to August 1.

The four one-week camps offer junior and senior high school students a behind-the-scenes peek into the world of veterinary medicinefrom doing physical examinations on dogs and horses to learning how to dress like a surgeon and suturing on a silicon suture pad. You will be amazed at what you will see, learn, and do!
