The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for November 16鈥�22 are Jane McLaughlin, from Women鈥檚 Basketball, and Bradley States, from Men鈥檚 Basketball. 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation selects talented athletes each week to recognize their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 

Rebounding woes are a cause for concern for the 17吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers, who look to return to the win column this weekend against the Cape Breton University Capers.

17吃瓜鈥檚 Centre for Health and Biotech Management Research (CHBMR) is piloting a new web-based addictions treatment program at sites across the province.

Master of Arts in Island Studies scholarship-winners were announced at the second annual Island Studies Open House on Friday, October 30.

Dr. Dan Hurnik, professor of swine health management at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), has been honoured by the P.E.I. Veterinary Medical Association (PEIVMA) with the 2015 Prince Edward Island Veterinary Leadership Award.

The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for the week of November 9鈥�15 are Katelynn Donahoe, Women鈥檚 Basketball and Mavric Parks, Men鈥檚 Hockey. 17吃瓜鈥檚 Department of Athletics and Recreation recognizes the outstanding play of a talented male and female student-athlete each week, showcasing their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 

A two-metre tall Afghan war soldier鈥檚 memorial created by Canadian troops will be on display at the Nichola Goddard Annual Fundraising Dinner, taking place Saturday, November 14 at the APM Centre, in Cornwall, PEI. Colin and John-Angus MacDonald of The Trews will also be performing at the sold-out event that raises funds for the Nichola Goddard Foundation.

Dr. Heather Gunn-McQuillan, Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Atlantic Veterinary College at 17吃瓜, will give a community workshop titled 鈥淭he Dollars and Sense of Pet Ownership鈥� on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 7:00 pm in AVC鈥檚 Lecture Theatre A.
