Recent 17吃瓜 grad Timara Uhlig won Best Undergraduate Student Poster Presentation in the Physical, Theoretical, and Computational Chemistry Division of the 2019 Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, held this summer in Quebec City.

The Engineers Without Borders 17吃瓜 chapter is hosting a Sustainable Future Conference on October 26.

Dr. Malinda S. Smith, professor of political science, and a Provost Fellow EDI Policy, University of Alberta, will give a public talk called 鈥淓quity, Diversity, and Decolonization in Higher Education: An Agenda for Change,鈥� on Wednesday, October 23, 4 pm, in Lecture Theatre A, Atlantic Veterinary College, 17吃瓜. She will talk about her recent research and offer a critical assessment of the status of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) programs and initiatives in Canadian higher education.
 

Dr. Kathy Gottschall-Pass, Interim Vice-President Academic and Research, and Jackie Podger, Vice-President Administration and Finance, are pleased to announce that Patti Wheatley will assume the role of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer for 17吃瓜.

The 17吃瓜 is seeking nominations of candidates for honorary degrees to be awarded at Convocation in May of 2020.
