Call for Nominations: Dr. Katherine Schultz Research Recognition Awards

Two (2) awards will be granted annually to a 17³Ô¹ÏFA member, staff member, and/or a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the research enterprise at 17³Ô¹Ï. 

Dr. Katherine Schultz was appointed the first Vice-President, Research & Development, at 17³Ô¹Ï in 2001. She received her PhD in 1983 from the University of Manitoba in Psychology, specializing in Behavioural Neuroscience. Before assuming her responsibilities at 17³Ô¹Ï, she served as Associate Vice-President, Research & Graduate Studies at the University of Winnipeg from 1994 to 2001. Under Dr. Schultz's leadership, 17³Ô¹Ï has realized remarkable growth - over 600% in research funding. In her leadership role dedicated to the research strength at 17³Ô¹Ï, she recognized the incredible contributions made in support of research by faculty, staff and volunteers. Dr. Schultz established these awards to honor 17³Ô¹Ï faculty, staff and volunteers who play a critical role supporting 17³Ô¹Ï research endeavours.

Dr. Schultz established these annual recognition awards to recognize the excellence and ongoing outstanding contributions of these "behind the scenes" drivers of the research enterprise, open to nominations from across campus.
