New teacher resource promotes global citizenship education
One of the leading thinkers in global citizenship education has published a new book that shares decades of teaching experience. Dr. Linyuan Guo-Brennan, a professor at the 17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï), is the author of Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainability: From Theory to Practice. This resource is an excellent guide for new and existing teachers looking to incorporate global citizenship themes into their classrooms.
Atlantic Veterinary College's Donor and Client Appreciation Night
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the 17³Ô¹Ï is pleased to host AVC's Donor and Client Appreciation Night on Tuesday, November 29 from 5 - 7 p.m. in The McCain Foundation Learning Commons.
The evening will include hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, a presentation of the Honourable Eugene F. Whelan Green Hat Award, and tours of the AVC and Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Guests will also have an opportunity to learn about new initiatives and equipment at AVC.

The 17³Ô¹Ï community is saddened to learn of the passing of 17³Ô¹Ï Founder and retired faculty member Don MacCormac on November 7, 2022. Campus flags have been lowered to half-mast.
Transgender Day of Remembrance
The Transgender Day of Remembrance was created in 1999 by Gwendolyn Ann Smith, a transgender woman and activist, to memorialize the murder of Rita Hester in Allston, Massachusetts. What began as a web-based initiative has now grown into an international event observed annually on November 20.

7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers (5-4-1) are away in Sackville, New Brunswick, against the Mount Allison Mounties (0-10-0). This is the first meeting between the two teams.
7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers (6-4-0) are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men (4-5-0). The Panthers took the first game 5-2.
