The Department of Physics has the following opening for a sessional instructor for the upcoming Summer 2026 Semester. The positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the courses offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
PHYS 1220-01 – Physics for Life Sciences II
This course is a continuation of Physics 1210, intended for students in the life sciences, introducing additional physics concepts with emphasis on their application to biology. Topics include properties of waves, acoustics and hearing, optics and vision, thermodynamics, and basic electricity and magnetism.
Six hours of lecture, Six hours of laboratory or tutorial per week
Sessional contract is for lecture only.
Summer Session II: June 2026 – August 2026
Qualifications:
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a master's degree in physics or a related area.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the 17³Ô¹Ï Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
