Student Assistant - Applied Communication, Leadership and Culture - Faculty of Arts
$18.15 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
February – April 30, 2026
Located in the SDU Main Building, STUDIO 321 supports practical and theoretical approaches to teaching, researching, and producing new media at the 17³Ô¹Ï.
The Applied Communication, Leadership and Culture department requires an undergraduate Student Assistant to support students undertaking multimedia projects for coursework within the Faculty of Arts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Basic equipment cleaning, cord organization, and reporting any technical issues
- Greet students and communicate the policies of the lab
- Be present during reserved sessions to answer questions and to troubleshoot issues
- Demonstrate how to use equipment safely and effectively to new users
- Ensure headphones are sanitized and microphones are ready for the next session
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current 17³Ô¹Ï student
- The role requires technical aptitude
- Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be reliable and have an approachable demeanour
