The Department of Physics has the following opening for a sessional instructor for the upcoming Summer 2026 Semester. The positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the courses offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
PHYS 1210-01 – Physics for Life Sciences I
This course is intended for life science and health science students. Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts of physics and some of their applications to biological systems. Topics include vectors, kinematics, force, energy and power, torque, linear and angular momentum, and fluid mechanics.
Six hours of lecture, six hours of laboratory or tutorial per week
Sessional contract is for lecture only.
Summer Session I: May 2026 – June 2026
Qualifications:
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a master's degree in physics or a related area.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the 17³Ô¹Ï Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
