2026 Mitacs Globalink Mentor, Mitacs
The role of a Globalink Mentor is to provide support for around 5 to 10 Globalink Research Interns (GRIs) between May and November. Some email communication is also required in April to connect with interns before they begin their internships. Globalink Mentors help GRIs become oriented to their host university and provide ongoing weekly support. Mentors are expected to work up to a maximum of 18 hours every 15-day period (pay period), split into two blocks: the 1st鈥�15th and the 16th鈥�30th of each month. More work usually is needed at the beginning of the term when the GRIs arrive; less work is required throughout the summer as the GRIs become more comfortable.鈥疘n some cases, mentors may also provide virtual support to interns located at universities where we do not have an on-site mentor available.
Bi-monthly allowance of $321.30, paid on the 1st and 15th, tied to completing core deliverables tracked through bi-monthly hour submissions and the Together mentoring platform. Mentors may work up to 18 hours per pay period (1st鈥�15th and 16th鈥�30th).
