World Suicide Prevention Day Commemoration

The 17³Ô¹Ï Student Union, in collaboration with several 17³Ô¹Ï departments, have come together to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day, on September 10 from 1:00-1:30 pm
 
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to gather to pay tribute to the lives that have been affected by suicide and mark the planting of a tree in their honour. Tessa Rogers, 17³Ô¹Ï Student Union Vice-President Student Life will be serve as master of ceremonies for the short program that will feature a representative from Jack.org; Treena Smith, Director of Student Affairs, and Grace Gibson from the International Student Office. 
 
The event will take place outside the Cass Science Hall building, beside the hand-carved bench dedicated to the Mi’kmaq of Epekwitk.
