Congratulations to Sophie Vandale and Sam Smiley, the 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for October 28 to November 3.

The 17吃瓜 will host Dr. Francisco Dallmeier, director of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute鈥檚 Center for Conservation and Sustainability, when he visits Prince Edward Island next week to give a talk on Climate Change Impacts on Biodiversity.

As part of 17吃瓜鈥檚 commitment to crisis preparedness and response, the University has launched a new, free safety app called 17吃瓜 SAFE.

The 17吃瓜 50^th Anniversary Alumni Speakers Series and the 17吃瓜 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering are pleased to present a presentation by Jim Carter (Dip. Eng 鈥�71, LLD 鈥�08), retired CEO of Syncrude Canada Ltd.

Every spring, the 17吃瓜 holds Convocation ceremonies to celebrate and award degrees and diplomas to its graduating students. 17吃瓜 strives to make Convocation a special time for graduates as well as their families and friends.

Join us for a workshop on 鈥淭alking to the Media鈥� with Bruce Rainnie, president and CEO of the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame in Halifax and former host of CBC PEI鈥檚 supper-hour news program, Compass.

Recent 17吃瓜 grad Timara Uhlig won Best Undergraduate Student Poster Presentation in the Physical, Theoretical, and Computational Chemistry Division of the 2019 Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition, held this summer in Quebec City.

The Engineers Without Borders 17吃瓜 chapter is hosting a Sustainable Future Conference on October 26.
