17³Ô¹Ï Panthers this Week (February 9–15)
The 17³Ô¹Ï Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away. At their home games, senior players will be recognized for their contributions to their respective sports.
Friday, February 13
AT HOME:
6:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Basketball Panthers host the St. Francis Xavier X-Women at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. Senior players Devon Lawlor, Grace Lancaster, Elise Plaschka, Sydney Lawlor, and Samantha Zoffranieri will be recognized.
Game On! 17³Ô¹Ï Student-Alumni Paper Airplane Toss
17³Ô¹Ï students, staff, faculty, and alumni are invited to the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre for a Paper Airplane Toss during halftime at the women’s basketball game. 17³Ô¹Ï Alumni and Experiential Education has partnered with Provincial Credit Union to provide the opportunity for 17³Ô¹Ï students interested in banking and finance to connect with employees working at Provincial Credit Union. This is a fun, laid-back chance to connect with the 17³Ô¹Ï community, boost Panther pride, and build lasting connections.
Participants can arrive as early as 5:15 pm to socialize and start crafting their winning plane with the materials provided. The contest will be held at halftime, with prizes awarded to first-, second-, and third-place finishers.
Students who wish to receive FREE game snacks and drinks must sign up for the event via .
7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers host the St. Francis Xavier X-Women at MacLauchlan Arena. Senior player Kierra St. Peter will be recognized.
8:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Basketball Panthers host the St. Francis Xavier X-Men at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. Senior players Sam Chisholm and Sam Dyck will be recognized.
AWAY:
7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers will play the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Saturday, February 14
AT HOME:
7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers host the University of New Brunswick Reds at MacLauchlan Arena. Senior players Cole Larkin, Alexandre De Gagné, Patrick LeBlanc, and Tim Gould will be recognized.
AWAY:
7:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers play the Mount Allison University Mounties in Sackville, New Brunswick.
Both the 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s and Women’s Hockey Panthers teams and the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Panthers teams have clinched playoff berths! The 2026 AUS Basketball Championship weekend will take place from Friday, February 20 to Sunday, February 22 at the Scotiabank Centre in downtown Halifax. Ticket packages are officially on sale .
