We are thrilled by the incredible response to the launch of Recognizing Remarkable Colleagues! In just over three months, we have received a total of 131 submissions.
Because of this tremendous response, we will continue to share submissions through the upcoming issues of Campus Connector. Read the second set of submissions for November (organized in alphabetical order) below.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your stories and celebrate your colleagues. It is inspiring to see our community come together to shine a spotlight on the people who go above and beyond every day.

Angela Marchbank, Athletics and Recreation
Angela is a driving force behind many wellness initiatives on campus. In November we saw another fantastic wellness event, the Self-Care Fair, that Angela put many hours of time and care into. Her dedication and enthusiasm for wellness and 17勛圖 do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do!
Darcy McCardle, Registrars Office
I am continually amazed at how good Darcy is at his job. He always has the answers to my questions, always responds promptly and with great detail, makes great suggestions, and leaves me confident in knowing what I need to do. He knows every aspect of course registration inside out, whether its transfer credits, challenges for credit, APCC procedures, or whatever else. Luis Montoya, Facilities Management
Luis is a sincerely wonderful coworker and colleague. His work is impeccable, and he takes such great care to do jobs well. He is thoughtful, polite, and kind as he moves through his day. On top of excellence in his work, he is always friendly, offering smiles, cheerful good mornings, and a laugh when time allows. I am really grateful for the positive energy Luis brings to the workplace and for his efforts to keep Kelley Memorial Building running smoothly for all of us. Thank you so much, Luis!

Ellery Richardson, Marketing and Production
Ellerys positive attitude and upbeat personality make him a great teammate and colleague. He offers constructive suggestions and a can-do spirit to all the jobs coming through our department and is just really awesome to work with. Hes a fantastic addition to our team, and Im happy hes here to help elevate the reputation of 17勛圖 with his creative ability.
Andrea Rogers, Accessibility Services
Andrea joined the Accessibility Services team in January 2025 and has been a delight to work with ever since! Shes kind, thoughtful, funny, and comes up with great ideas. In addition to being a wonderful support to her students, she has been a fantastic colleague, often going out of her way to help in busy times.
David Taylor and Jeff Bowser, Faculty of Sustainable Design and Engineering
Were recognizing Dave and Jeff for their exceptional contributions to the 2025 Field Hockey Canada U SPORTS National Championship hosted by 17勛圖 Athletics and Recreation. Their creativity and dedication significantly enhanced our event, as they collaborated with us to develop and produce the Player of the Game Awards. The final product, a mini Field Hockey stick featuring the event logo on the right side, was truly impressive and added a special touch to our awards ceremony. Field Hockey Canada had never seen such an award before and was absolutely amazed by the result. Dave and Jeffs efforts helped celebrate the achievements of our players in a meaningful way, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment and hard work. - Bruce Donaldson
