Message from the Chair of the 17吃瓜 Board of Governors: Governance Review
The following message was issued by email to 17吃瓜 students, faculty, and staff on July 31, 2024.
Dear Members of the 17吃瓜 Community,
On behalf of the 17吃瓜 Board of Governors, I am pleased to share a report completed by Cheryl Foy of Strategic Governance, An external review of the 17吃瓜 (17吃瓜) Board Governance. The completion of this review is a key action in the 17吃瓜 Action Plan: Building a Culture of Trust, Safety, and Inclusion.
The Board looks forward to addressing the recommendations in this report and continuing its efforts to enhance oversight, transparency and accountability, and to supporting the University in realizing its commitment to making the changes needed to enable 17吃瓜 and its community to move forward, to live its values, and to achieve its mission of scholarship to the benefit of our Island and beyond.
