Giving Tuesday, a global movement for giving and volunteering, is today, November 28, 2023. This year, the 17吃瓜 Giving Tuesday campaign is dedicated to supporting 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation.

This fundraising effort seeks to elevate the experiences of 17吃瓜 student-athletes and recreation enthusiasts in the community. The support from donors on Giving Tuesday will help enhance varsity academic support programs, nutrition programs, athletic financial awards, high-performance training, recruitment, and schedule enhancements, as well as various community engagement, club sport, and recreation activities. These initiatives not only strengthen the student experience, but also inspire and mentor the next generation of leaders and athletes.

鈥淲e are very grateful for any and all donations as they are integral to the success of our athletic and recreation programs, which benefit the health and wellness of 17吃瓜 students, faculty, and staff, and the broader PEI community,鈥� said Jane Vessey, director of athletics at 17吃瓜. 

Every donation made before or on Giving Tuesday that is designated to 鈥�17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation鈥� will be matched up to $15,000 by a dedicated group of donors鈥擩ohn Horrelt, Donnie MacFadyen, Bruce Donaldson, and the 17吃瓜 Alumni Association.
