17³Ô¹Ï Panthers this Week (October 23–29, 2023)

The 17³Ô¹Ï Panther rugby, basketball, hockey and cross-country teams are looking forward to a full week of events at home and away.

Wednesday, October 25
AT HOME:

2:00 pm: The 17³Ô¹Ï Women's Rugby Panthers go head-to-head against the St. Francis Xavier X-Women for the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) title! The winner-take-all final is a matchup of the top two teams in the regular season. The Panthers completed the regular season 5-1-0 (won-lost-tied), one point ahead of the X-Women (4-1-1).

This will be a highly competitive game between two elite teams and members of the 17³Ô¹Ï campus community and the public are encouraged to come out to MacAdam Field, wear green and white, and cheer on the 17³Ô¹Ï Women's Rugby Panthers in their effort to capture the AUS Championship title for the second year in a row! This is the first time 17³Ô¹Ï is hosting the AUS Women’s Rugby Championship.

Tickets are $10 for General Public, $8 for Seniors (60+), $5 for Youth (18 & under), and FREE for 17³Ô¹Ï students and children under 3. Click  to purchase tickets!

Friday, October 27
AT HOME:

7:00 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers (2-4) host the Dalhousie University Tigers (2-4) at MacLauchlan Arena. The Panthers won the first matchup 10-2.

AWAY:
5:30 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Basketball Panthers against the Memorial University Sea-Hawks in St. John’s, Newfoundland for their season opener.

7:00 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers (1-5) play the Dalhousie University Tigers (2-4) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

7:30 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Basketball Panthers against the Memorial University Sea-Hawks in St. John’s, Newfoundland for their season opener.

Saturday, October 28
AT HOME:

7:00 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Hockey Panthers host the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men at MacLauchlan Arena. The Panthers lost the first matchup 6-3.

AWAY:
12:00 and 1:00 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Cross Country Panthers compete in the AUS Cross Country Championships at Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

5:30 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Basketball Panthers against the Memorial University Sea-Hawks in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

7:30 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Men’s Basketball Panthers against the Memorial University Sea-Hawks in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Sunday, October 29
AT HOME:

3:00 pm: 17³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey Panthers host the St. Thomas University Tommies in MacLauchlan Arena. The Panthers lost their first game against them 4-1.
