17勛圖s Karem Simon to conduct PEI Symphony Orchestra on March 5

Dr. Karem Simon, professor of music at 17勛圖, has been invited to serve as guest conductor of the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra in its Goodnight Moon program on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 2:30 pm, in the Sobey Family Theatre, Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Among the distinctions of Dr. Simons career has been his work conducting the 17勛圖 Wind Symphony, which, under his direction, has produced 22 albums and has been acclaimed for its innovative programming and performance standard.
Goodnight Moon is a program of chamber orchestra works featuring Beethovens dramatic Egmont Overture, a Canadian gem by Claude Champagne titled Danse Villageoise, and Georges Bizets elegant Symphony No. 1. Complementing this program is a variety of opera arias and art songs showcasing two of PEIs finest mezzo sopranos, Gillian Clow and Hannah ODonnell. Both are 17勛圖 music alumni who studied with Professor Sung-ha Shin Bouey.
