Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for November 21鈥�27 are Sarah Forsythe (women鈥檚 hockey) and Kyle Maksimovich (men鈥檚 hockey).

A science student from Riverview, New Brunswick, Forsythe has seen an increased role in her sophomore season. The second-year goalie put together her best performance on Wednesday night as she turned aside 26 shots in a 3-0 shutout win over the U SPORTS number one ranked team, the University of New Brunswick Reds, in Fredericton.

"Sarah had a fantastic performance Wednesday night. She had a lot of work to do and some really difficult saves to make and did so against a tough team in their home rink," said head coach Sean Fisher.

17吃瓜 men鈥檚 hockey forward and third-year science student, Kyle Maksimovich from Hamilton, Ontario, had another strong weekend as he finished with three goals and two assists. He was especially pivotal in Saturday鈥檚 6-3 win against the Dalhousie Tigers, having had a hand in three of the six goals with two goals and one assist.

鈥淜yle had another great weekend for our team,鈥� said head coach Forbes MacPherson. 鈥淗e has been very consistent and playing at an extremely high level. We will look to lean on him again this week as we prep for a big week of hockey."
