Atlantic University Sport releases revised regular season schedule
The following news release was issued by Atlantic University Sport on February 10, 2022.
With the recent updates to public health restrictions in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, Atlantic University Sport (AUS) is pleased to release its revised regular season schedule for winter 2022. League play across all sports, in all provinces, will officially resume as of Friday, February 18.
鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be happier to be sharing this news with our student-athletes, who鈥檝e shown outstanding perseverance during this time,鈥� says AUS executive director Phil Currie. 鈥淲e鈥檙e also incredibly grateful for the continued efforts of our provincial public health authorities, none of this would be possible without their commitment to our region鈥檚 safety.鈥�
This news follows regarding new dates for the winter 2022 AUS championships. As part of the AUS鈥檚 schedule revisions, this year all participating teams will be granted playoff berths. Further information on modified playoff formats for team sports will be announced at a later date.
