PEI Symphony Orchestra concert features 17³Ô¹Ï’s Dr. Dale Sorensen

An upcoming performance of the PEI Symphony Orchestra (PEISO) will feature Dr. Dale Sorensen, principal trombonist for the orchestra and an assistant professor of brass at 17³Ô¹Ï. The PEISO will perform AntonÃn Dvorák’s popular Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, better known as his New World Symphony, on November 21 at 2:30 pm, at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
In addition to the New World Symphony, the program also includes Dvorák’s Carnival Overture and the seldom-played Trombone Concerto in C by Italian film composer Nino Rota.
Under the direction of Maestro Mark Shapiro, the PEISO’s 54th season is chock-full of thrilling masterworks and world-class guest performers, taking place entirely in the Confederation Centre’s Mainstage Theatre.
