17勛圖 womens hockey adds Mount Academys all-time points leader Sophie Bujold

Bruce Donaldson, head coach of 17勛圖s womens hockey team, has recruited Sophie Bujold, of Riverview, New Brunswick, to play for the Panthers.
Bujolds hockey resum矇 is easy to get excited about, as she is a proven scoring threat. In the last two seasons with the Mount Academy Saints, the 18-year-old compiled 102 points in 95 games. It is no wonder Donaldson decided to pursue the skilled forward.
Sophie is very creative with her game. She sees the ice very well and has the ability to finish off plays, Donaldson said. Fans will enjoy watching her. She has a mature style of play that will add nicely to our overall skill level.
Last season, the Panthers built a successful 20-win program with depth and versatility. They accomplished a lot with seven players earning at least 15 points each. Donaldson believes the rookie will fit in perfectly. She has a competitive edge at both ends of the ice.
Having a player like Sophie gives us more depth throughout our lineup and allows us to make changes depending on who were playing against.
During her time with the Mount Academy, Bujold felt a connection with PEI. She calls it her second home.
I have made many good friends on the Island already, and I know Ill feel at home right away, she said. With 17勛圖s coaching, teammates, support staff, and facilities, I will have a great opportunity to develop and grow as a player.
Joining the Panthers was also appealing because it will allow Bujold to step out of her sisters shadow (who played for St. Francis Xavier University) and try to accomplish something special with her own team.
I look up to my sister Sarah who had a strong career in the AUS, but I hope to make my own impact as a strong team player for 17勛圖, she said. Im focussed on improving my game and giving my best effort each night.
Go Panthers Go!
