Every week, 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. Congratulations to Taylor Gllis and Kameron Kielly, the 17吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for November 4 to 10.

Gillis is a second-year forward on the 17吃瓜 women鈥檚 hockey team and a business major from Summerside, PEI. Gillis scored a pair of goals over two games this weekend, including the game-winner against Universit茅 de Moncton Saturday evening. 鈥淭aylor scored the winner against U de M and scored on the power-play to get us within one point in the standings of St. FX,鈥� said coach Bruce Donaldson. 鈥淪he had a strong weekend with some great play-making.鈥�

Kielly is a third-year forward on the 17吃瓜 men鈥檚 hockey team and a business major from Charlottetown, PEI. Kielly recorded a remarkable 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) over the Panthers鈥� last 3 games and led the team to a 2鈥�0鈥�1 record, including a 6鈥�3 win over the St. FX X-Men. 鈥淜am played a big part in our team鈥檚 success this week,鈥� said coach Forbes MacPherson. 鈥淗e continues to play the right way and is being rewarded for his efforts statistically.鈥�
