17³Ô¹Ï administration and 17³Ô¹ÏFA reach tentative deal

The 17³Ô¹Ï and the 17³Ô¹Ï Faculty Association (17³Ô¹ÏFA) are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached.

The University and the 17³Ô¹ÏFA, Bargaining Unit #1 representing faculty members, librarians, sessional instructors, and clinical nursing instructors have reached a tentative agreement for a four-year collective agreement from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2020. The University and the 17³Ô¹ÏFA have been working very hard over the last nine months to reach an agreement. The tentative deal was reached at a recent meeting of Dr. Nola Etkin, President of the 17³Ô¹Ï Faculty Association, Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, President of the 17³Ô¹Ï, and their respective chief negotiators, Dr. Sharon Myers and Mr. Brian Johnston.

The Board of Governors and 17³Ô¹ÏFA will each meet with their members over the next week to discuss the tentative agreement.
