Athletes of the Week鈥擲eptember 22-28
The 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for the week of September 22-28 are Danae Iatrou, Women's Soccer; and Harminder Singh, Men's Soccer. 17吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation showcases these talented athletes in order to recognize their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. 17吃瓜 Athletes of the Week are also nominated to Atlantic University Sport and Canadian Interuniversity Sport for possible recognition in the region and/or country.

What: 17吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week
When: Week of September 22-28
Why: Iatrou, a fourth-year student-athlete enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program from Timberlea, Nova Scotia is having a great season for the Women's Soccer Panthers. During Saturday's 1-1 tie against Acadia, Iatrou was selected as the player of the game. As a fullback, Iatrou has been solid defensively with strong tackling, composed passing, and an excellent work ethic. Her commitment, attitude, and performance have been outstanding showing strong leadership.
Singh, a third-year science student from Cremona, Italy scored the Panthers lone goal during the Men's Soccer team's 4-1 loss to the Acadia Axemen on Saturday. Playing at the striker position, Singh has given his team a boost of energy and speed each time he gets on the pitch.
