Calgary, Alberta -- Wade MacLauchlan, president and vice-chancellor of the 17吃瓜, chats with Bill LeClair, founder of the Calgary Friends of 17吃瓜; Bill Andrew, chancellor of 17吃瓜; and George Rogers, a member of the Friends' organizing committee, at the group's annual fundraising event held in Calgary on November 3. Since the Calgary Friends of 17吃瓜 began in 1998, the group has raised over $620,000 for 17吃瓜 scholarships and bursaries in perpetuity, and has awarded almost $150,000 in scholarships to 17吃瓜 students. This year's event raised over $30,000 for the fund.
