Calgary Friends of 17³Ô¹Ï Raised More Than $650,000 for Scholarships

Calgary, Alberta -- Wade MacLauchlan, president and vice-chancellor of the 17³Ô¹Ï, chats with Bill LeClair, founder of the Calgary Friends of 17³Ô¹Ï; Bill Andrew, chancellor of 17³Ô¹Ï; and George Rogers, a member of the Friends' organizing committee, at the group's annual fundraising event held in Calgary on November 3. Since the Calgary Friends of 17³Ô¹Ï began in 1998, the group has raised over $620,000 for 17³Ô¹Ï scholarships and bursaries in perpetuity, and has awarded almost $150,000 in scholarships to 17³Ô¹Ï students. This year's event raised over $30,000 for the fund.
