Practical Person-Centred Strategies: Working with Individuals with Dementia April 24 & 25 - Charlottetown May 23 & 24 - Summerside This two-day, interactive, hands-on workshop will enable participants to: 鈥� have a greater understanding of dementia 鈥� explain the stages of dementia 鈥� use practical interventions for various dementia-related behaviours 鈥� use practical strategies for navigation of activities of daily living 鈥� clarify assumptions and dispel myths 鈥� explain what is 鈥渘ormal鈥� aging vs dementia 鈥� experience what it is like to live with dementia 鈥� help with understanding caregiver stress and how to get support Course fee: $549 + HST A special fee of $275 + HST is available to family care-givers of individuals with dementia and seniors (60 years of age and over).
