The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), is held annually on November 20, honouring transgender people who have lost their lives in acts of anti-transgender violence.
On PEI, the week leading up to TDOR, November 1320, serves to raise awareness of/increase visibility of transgender issues, particularly intimate partner violence. Transgender Awareness Week is a week when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention to the community by educating the public about who transgender people are, sharing stories and experiences, and advancing advocacy around issues of prejudice, discrimination, and violence that affect the transgender community.
17勛圖 welcomes diversity and is committed to creating a culture of trust, safety, and inclusion for transgender people. Together, we can foster a campus community of inclusivity and support, ensuring that everyone feels safe and valued.
