| Description: | Awarded to a maximum of five returning 17吃瓜 student athletes who are in good academic standing and actively participate as ambassadors of 17吃瓜 and Panther Sport, and practice leadership skills by playing key roles in goodwill, recruitment, and retention. |
| Background: | In 2008, the 17吃瓜 Alumni Association began a campaign aimed at making certain that 17吃瓜 student-athletes had the needed resources to be effective both on the field and in the classroom. Funds raised were for three initiatives; the creation of a new athletics facility called the 17吃瓜 Alumni Canada Games Place in honour of the alumni support that made it a reality; the branding of a 48-seat "smart" bus; and the creation of 17吃瓜 Alumni Athletic Fellowships.
