| Description: | Awarded to a deserving student who has graduated from a PEI high school and is entering first year of the four year Sustainable Design Engineering program at 17吃瓜. |
| Background: | These annual scholarships are established at the 17吃瓜 by Bill Andrew and his wife, Denise. Bill Andrew received his Diploma in Engineering from 17吃瓜 in 1973 and became Chancellor of the 17吃瓜 in 2004. Bill Andrew is currently President of Penn West Petroleum Ltd. and is active in various community and philanthropic endeavours. He is a founding member of the Friends of 17吃瓜 group in Calgary, has a farm on PEI, and is active in PEI and national harness racing circles. |
