| Description: | Awarded to two Island high school students entering 17吃瓜 who are in good academic standing with a high average. The scholarship value will cover the first year of tuition based on the student's registration in a full course load (five courses per semester) in the September to April academic year. |
| Background: | These scholarships are made possible by the 17吃瓜 Faculty Association. The 17吃瓜 Faculty Association is the bargaining agent for approximately 400 academic staff members at the university. It is a body separate from the 17吃瓜 and supports numerous scholarships and awards for 17吃瓜 students. These awards and scholarships are funded solely by the 17吃瓜 Faculty Association (the donor), separate from the awards and scholarships that are funded by the university itself. |
