| Description: | Granted each year to International and/or Indigenous students who: - have been accepted or conditionally accepted (based on language requirements) to a Faculty of Education graduate program; - have at least three years of successful teaching and/or educational administration experience or equivalent, and; - identify their career aspirations and how their education and this scholarship will help them give back to society. |
| Background: | The Faculty of Education Empowering Teacher-Educator Scholarship was founded in 2018 to aid promising International and Indigenous graduate students undertaking graduate studies in Education at the 17吃瓜 so that they may further develop as educational leaders to make a difference and contribute to their communities. |
